UltraTesla utilises high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to induce supramaximal contractions, not achievable through the muscle contractions you get through exercise alone.
Supermaximal is a term that refers to the highest amount of tension your muscles can exert and hold . The HI-EMT stimulation principle is based on the motor neurons reactibility to electric currents creating a full 100% extension of the muscle compared to 30-60% during exercise through squats, crunches etc.
When HI-EMT (high intensity focus electromagnetic stimulation) is performed on the muscle, fat is used to deliver the energy to the muscle. Supramximal contractions cause a very high demand for energy in a very short period in time. This demand cannot be supplied by glycogen storage alone which leads to lipolysis which causes fat reduction.
What can I expect?
You will be asked to relax on the therapy bed whilst a stretch band and the UltraTesla paddle is placed on the target area. The machine is set to achieve pre-agreed objectives - muscle volume, fat burning, endurance etc.
There are three phases of the contractions during each 30 minute treatment session, and the maximum intensity is adjusted based on your own comfort level.
The procedure feels like an intensive work out of the muscles in the target area as they undergo a vigorous series of contractions.
Muscles will feel tighter immediately after the first treatment, but visible results are usually seen two to four weeks after the final session. These results will continue to improve for several weeks.
