What is Cellulite?
Cellulite, a condition characterised by dimpled, uneven skin which affects 9 in 10 people, mostly women.
For most people cellulite is held in the thighs, but it is also not uncommon to be found in the buttocks. Requiring a bespoke service, a treatment plan can be designed using a combination of ultrasound cavitation and radio frequency handheld applicators to get deep into the fat cells and break them down.

Cellulite is caused by the skin’s connective tissue that can weaken over time, allowing fat cells to push up against the surface of the skin, creating the characteristic dimpled appearance.
Treatment via ultrasound cavitation allows ultrasound waves from a handheld applicator are applied directly to the area, through the skin, where it creates bubbles between fat cells.
As the bubbles burst, it causes the fat cells to rupture, turning them into free fatty acids and glycerol.
Following an Ultrasound cavitation treatment, the free fatty acids travel to the liver where they are excreted as waste while glycerol is reused by the body as an energy source.
What can I expect?
A thin layer of ultrasound gel is applied to protect your skin and allow the cavitation applicator is used to massage the treatment area as it works on penetrating the deeper layers of your skin to reach fatty deposits.
During the treatment you will hear a low frequency ringing sensation in your ears which causes no harm and stops immediately when the applicator is removed from your skin.
If required, a radio frequency handheld applicator will replicate the same process, this time focusing on the elastin and collagen in your skin to give a smooth and firm appearance. Clients often describe the treatment as very relaxing.
